Grand Conversazione

An Original Ticket (now in my possession)

The Church in 1899 still had no Tower, so the Rev G Doman set out to raise enough money for building of the Tower.
In 1900 the Rev Edwin Wolfe takes charge of the church after Rev John Doman Dies and continues collecting for the Tower Fund.
Eventually in 1902 enough money had been raised to start work building the Church Tower, names of those donated for the 'Buy A Brick' scheme had their names inscribed on a brick and these were used in the building of the tower.
When it was completed it was dedicated in memory to the late Rev John George Doman, Doman St that runs parallel to St Mark's St was also named after him.
