George St

Updated December 21, 2016 4:06 PM
When I worked at Edbro's in 1973 I remember Alan Hopkins coming back at dinnertime and said 'what's reckon bout this' you know half of George street houses are boarded up ready for knocking down, well, just had a woman knocking at door selling pegs, she said "I'll tell you your fortune, you'll be moving soon"
Lloyd Egerton Class of 1952
