Dressed in a St Mark's Kindergarten Smock

After kindergarten I crossed the corridor into Mrs Harrison's class I remember learning to read with books about Old Lob and his farm. on St George's day Mrs Harrison had a statue of a knight in full armour on her desk and a large Union Jack spread across the wall behind.
Next into Mrs Dickinson's class. On Mondays she dished out straws for our milk and this one straw was supposed to last all week and kept in our desks. using it after Monday gave the milk an unusual taste.

I remember during the war everyday in the Nursery we used to get Cod Liver Oil and Orange Juice, and to think back everything was very scarce then too, especially fruit.
